The China International Lithium-ion Battery Recycling Week CBRW2024

crownE plaza, SHanghai, china, 22-26 April 2024

Join us to China for a 2 days conference and a 3 days plant tour

For the seventh year Chinese GDMMC is organising its annual international lithium-ion battery recycling event in China, for the third time at Crowne Plaza in Shanghai. Circular Energy Storage has been part of the event from start, supporting the organisers in program design, presentations and chairing of the conference. This year we also help to market the conference as we believe that understanding of the Chinese battery recycling market is a key factor for success also in the rest of the world.

This is because:

  • China’s recycling market is an integrated part of the country's battery and battery material industry which means it may serve as a blueprint for how the market can evolve in Europe and North America when the battery value chain is scaled up in these regions.

  • The scale of China’s recycling industry is so much bigger and the technology is many times more advanced which makes the market to the most important benchmark for anyone developing, investing in, or partnering with recyclers today.

  • China, as a market with more than two thirds of the battery production and an increasing export of electric vehicles as well as a signficant export of other battery containing products and technology, will for a long time be the graviational center of the industry and there for an important trading partner also for the whole recycling industry.

In addition to this China has also become one of the most important technology providers for the global recycling industry and solutions based on years of experiences in the industry are now increasingly being used in the rest of the world.
